Charleston Chain-Gang at SFlix. This picture shows the prisoners after completing their day's work of cleaning up the grounds of the Charleston Exposition, taking their positions along the long chain which secures the whole band of prisoners. They are marched past our camera to the prison, accompanied by the guards, who carry shotguns to prevent any from escaping.
